The next Kirtan is on Sunday September 28, 2008 starting at 10:30 AM. This will be the last Kirtan by Bhai Nirmal Singh Ji Jatha. Bhai Sahib has been performing Kirtan and Katha for the last eight weeks and the Sangat has really enjoyed the Shabad Kirtan and Bhai Sahib's knowledge of Sikh scriptures and Sikh history. Bhai Sahib will be heading back to California. Please try to attend this Diwan and say farewell and good luck to Bhai Sahib.

Also, a reminder that Sangat members are requested to participate in the Diversity celebration being held on Saturday September 27, 2008.The program starts at 11:00 AM till 6:00 PM.
The event is being held at Neshobha Unitarian Universalist Church 7350 Raleigh-Lagrange Rd Cordova.
This church is about three (3) from the Gurdwara Sahib. If you go west on Trinity road past the Indian Grocery store, Trinity becomes Raleigh Lagrange. Stay on this road till it dead ends. Church is on the right hand side. We will also need volunteers to man the table. If you can spare 2-4 hours on Saturday, please contact Sonia Marwah @ 901-336-3564. Please remember to a bring a donation of two cans of food ( Soup, vegetables, beans etc)

Midsouth Sikh Sabha will be participating in a Diversity Walk on (next) Sunday September 21, 2008 at 1:30 PM. The purpose of this walk is bring different racial and religious groups together and educate the people of Memphis about various ethnic and religious groups living in Memphis. This is a good opportunity to make Memphians aware of the Sikhs living in the Mid-South. the walk will start from Autozone Park in Downtown Memphis. Update re: Media Outreach: On Monday, 10/15, Dr. Gurpal Bindra alongwith Charanjit and Sonia Marwah met with the Religious editor of Commercial Appeal. The discussion centered around Sikhism, its history and spirituality - The religious editor will be coming to our Gurudwara Sahib on November 24th.
